2. Find under the radar talents

Everyone loves an underdog story, and the NFL is no different. The game’s greatest ever was a sixth-round draft pick, and plenty of undrafted players have gone on to become household names. The Giants need some great talent evaluation, and a little bit of luck, but they have to find some kind of talent in the depths of their roster.

Following the trading of Odell Beckham Jr. and safety Landon Collins leaving in free agency, New York is relatively thinned out on either side of the ball. And yet, they still have to find players to fill the void that those stars left behind.

Do they need a stream of superstars? No. But, they do need some kind of story for the New York press to latch onto, and inevitably, blow out of proportion.

Whether it be a new starting quarterback, a breakout year from tight end Evan Engram, or running back Saquon Barkley continuing his ground game tear, the Giants have to find something. The roster is among the least talented in the league, but there have to be some gems in there, even if it’s a case of a decent player on a bad team.
