New odds for teams to make the NFL Playoffs are out for the 2019 season and there is plenty to dissect from what the bookmakers think.

The New England Patriots making the NFL Playoffs has long been one of the surest bets in the entire league. Since 2001 and their first Super Bowl win with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, they’ve only missed the postseason twice — once in Brady’s 2002 season and the other in 2008 when he was lost for the season in Week 1 due to injury.

Father Time will one day catch up to Brady and the Patriots. However, it would appear that time is not today. Caesars recently revealed a new batch of NFL playoff odds for the 2019 season and New England is the biggest favorite to make it to the postseason.

Coming in with the second-best odds to make the playoffs is the team that the Patriots played in the AFC Championship Game a year ago, the Kansas City Chiefs. After Patrick Mahomes‘ 50-touchdown season that won him MVP in his first season as the starting quarterback, the Chiefs appear to be a perennial contender at this point.

While the Patriots and Chiefs are the favorites, though, there is plenty more to glean from these new NFL odds. As such, let’s take a look at the whole lot, per Bleacher Report on Twitter.

In addition to New England and Kansas City, seeing the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints with the third and fourth best odds to make the postseason is not a shock after they faced off in the NFC Championship last year. Having said that, there are some interesting tidbits below them.

One team that certainly stands out is the Cleveland Browns. After finishing below .500 last year and with a massive offseason that saw Baker Mayfield joined by Odell Beckham Jr., they are now seemingly the favorites to win the AFC North, having the best odds of any team in the division. The Pittsburgh Steelers are not far behind but it’s Cleveland at -130 with Pittsburgh at -110.

Meanwhile, there are some more changes from what we saw last year as well. While the Dallas Cowboys topped the NFC East in 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles have better odds to make the postseason than their rivals. The same can be said about the 2018 AFC South winning Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts. However, it’s worth noting that both the Eagles and Texans did earn Wild Card berths last season.

Of course, this is all premature looking around the league and predicting who will make the NFL Playoffs. Things can change dramatically from the end of June until the end of the regular season. Even so, this is where the oddsmakers currently believe things stand right now. It’ll be interesting to see specifically how that does change throughout the coming months.
