Myles Garrett, David Njoku, and Jabrill Peppers headlined the 2017 NFL Draft class of the Cleveland Browns, but Day 3 was rather forgettable.

Many could point to the 2017 Draft as a turning point for the Cleveland Browns as they landed superstar Myles Garrett with the first overall pick, Jabrill Peppers and David Njoku later in the first round. Njoku should be highly sought after in fantasy football this year as he will bust out onto the scene in 2019.

Peppers, while developing into a solid player and graded as a top-ten safety in the league last year by Pro Football Focus (subscription required), became a sacrificial lamb in the trade for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The Browns made one necessary move in the second round and found one sleeper in the third round on Day 2 of the 2017 draft.

While Deshone Kizer did not work out in Cleveland, the pick made sense, and it is understandable why the Browns thought they needed to add a wide quarterback. Kizer was traded to the Green Bay Packers after just one year in exchange for safety Damarious Randall and a swap of fifth and sixth round picks.

Larry Ogunjobi took a massive leap in year-two last year and looks to make another one in 2019. He ranked among the top-five in the league in snaps played; with the addition of Sheldon Richardson and Olivier Vernon to their defensive front, Ogunjobi should be able to get more rest, thus boosting his production while on the field.

After the third round, however, the Browns’ draft took a bad turn and none of the remaining picks are on the team except fourth rounder Howard Wilson. Even Wilson, though, has not played a single snap as he has blown out his knee in the preseason of both years of his career to this point. Needing a do-over, here is a re-draft of Day 3 of the Browns’ 2017 NFL Draft.
