10. Best NFL quarterbacks of all time: Aaron Rodgers

Back-to-back Green Bay Packers make the list as Aaron Rodgers comes in just ahead of his former teammate Brett Favre. Rodgers came into the league in 2005 and was considered a possibility as the No. 1 overall pick. That didn’t come to fruition as the San Francisco 49ers took Alex Smith, which led to one of the more publicized first round falls.

Rodgers waited in the green room much longer than anticipated and finally heard his name called at No. 24 overall. It was a bit surprising as the Packers still had Favre, but this allowed them to groom Rodgers to take his place.

He finally got the chance in 2008 as the team traded Favre away and Rodgers took off with the team. He showed remarkable accuracy, a strong arm, and excellent mobility. He was also the complete opposite of Favre when it came to risk-taking.

Rodgers’ ability to protect the ball while still carving up defenses is otherworldly. He’s second all-time in Packers history for passing yards with 42,944 and touchdowns with 338. That puts him in range of Favre’s lead with 61,655 yards and 442 touchdowns. However, Rodgers has only thrown 80 interceptions in 11 seasons as a starter whereas Favre had 286 in 16 seasons.

A two-time MVP and seven-time Pro Bowler, Rodgers has one Super Bowl win under his belt as he led the Packers to the title following the 2010 season. He comes in at No. 10 here but is quickly moving up the boards due to his play.
