New York Jets head coach Adam Gase has no problem shaking things up. Here we look at three players who could be shocking cuts during the coach’s first season in the Big Apple

One thing that was certain during Adam Gase’s time as coach of the Miami Dolphins was the fact that he didn’t mind shipping players off. As a first-time head coach, he had no problem shaking things up and it doesn’t appear as though that will be changing now that he’s joined their AFC North rivals, the New York Jets.

We already saw this take place as Gase joined the team and not long after, there were reports of a rift between him and general manager Mike Maccagnan. Gase vehemently denied the reports, saying it not without a bit of flare either. A claim that looks pretty bad now considering it was just days later that Maccagnan was fired.

Gase took over as GM for a brief spell — which led to rumors that he could send off running back Le’Veon Bell who was the prized offseason addition for Gang Green. Thankfully for their 2019 prospects, that didn’t happen. Another thing that could be a positive for fans is the fact that Gase didn’t keep his powers as general manager for long. Instead, they hired Joe Douglas who spent the past three seasons as the vice president of player personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Even with Douglas on board, the Jets will be giving a lot of power to Gase — who helped in the search for their GM. That could lead to some interesting moves in regards to their roster and here we look at three players who could end up being surprising cuts ahead of the 2019 season.
