6. Ahman Green – RB
Throughout their history, the Packers have had some talented running backs to suit up for them (including two who are members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame). But none of them put up the kind of numbers that Ahman Green did during his tenure with Green Bay.
After two unproductive years with the Seattle Seahawks, the Packers acquired Green in a trade during the 2000 offseason.
It didn’t take long for him to emerge as the top running back on Green Bay’s roster and he ended up rushing for 1,175 yards and 10 touchdowns during his very first season with the team. That year, Green also finished with 73 catches for 559 yards and three more scores.
He went on to play even better during the following four seasons. From 2001-04, Green ended each year with at least 1,150 rushing yards, 40 catches, eight touchdowns. He had the best performance of his career in 2003 when he rushed for 1,883 yards, caught 50 passes for 367 yards, and found the end zone 20 times.
Green played for a total of eight years in a Packers uniform and he still holds numerous team records including career rushing yards, most rushing yards in a single season, and most years with at least 1,000 rushing yards.
He was inducted into the Green Bay Hall of Fame in 2014.
