Baltimore Ravens: Miles Boykin, WR

The Baltimore Ravens most publicized move this offseason may be one they elected not to make. With linebacker C.J. Mosley entering free agency, they didn’t make a big play to keep him and he ended up with the New York Jets. Also gone is franchise sack leader Terrell Suggs as well as Za’Darius Smith.

Baltimore also officially moved on from former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco, who lost the starting job last year to Lamar Jackson. Heading in a completely new direction, the Ravens started to bring in some more talent to surround Jackson with on offense.

They added Marquise Brown out of Oklahoma in the first round which gives them a deep threat on offense to go along with receiver Willie Snead and tight ends Mark Andrews and Hayden Hurst who were all added last year. The Ravens made a few defensive moves as well, which included signing Earl Thomas and drafting Jaylon Ferguson and Daylon Mack.

As for their best under the radar move, that goes to their selection of Miles Boykin, the Notre Dame wideout they added in the third round. His addition is important because it gives Baltimore some size at the position. While Brown is a big play waiting to happen, he’s only 5-9. Their best veteran is Snead, who is also under 6-0, checking in at just 5-11.

Boykin, on the other hand, measures 6-4 and a healthy 220 pounds and put up a 43.5-inch vertical leap and 4.42-second 40-yard dash. He had 872 yards receiving for the Irish in 2018 and has a lot of the tools teams crave in a wide receiver. It wouldn’t be surprising at all to see him develop into a starter within the next couple of years.
