As the 2019 NFL season inched closer, the Chicago Bears look to put the finishing touches on what they hope is a super season. Here are five bold predictions for their season.
This week is the unofficial start of the football season as some NFL teams start their training camps. They start their preparations for the 2019 NFL season. The Chicago Bears still have to wait just over another week, but they too begin their defense of the NFC North title and, hopefully, a true Super Bowl run.
Of course, there are still a number of moves still to make to solidify the roster. Thankfully, most of the starting spots are pretty much taken, so there is just a matter of adding depth. Depth is something the team is fortunate to have.
They have multiple players at just about every spot so they are covered whether it’s to help give the starters much-needed rest during the season or to step up in the case of injuries to the starters. That depth will go a long way in helping the Bears win games.
Of course, the Bears still have that pesky little matter of getting the right kicker. Elliott Fry and Eddy Pineiro are battling for the starting spot. Many fans had expectations of a Robbie Gould reunion with the Chicago Bears, but he signed a contract extension so that seems unlikely. When the season starts the Bears will have either Fry, Pineiro, or maybe another kicker we don’t know about yet.
This is probably the biggest decision to make since the Bears should have a lot of close games and a field goal may once again determine not only regular-season games but also playoff games. We already know what happened last season, so we don’t want a repeat of that.
In order to have another magical season, there has to be some extra special play. Some players take that extra step that not many expected and they blow people’s minds in the process. Here now are five bold predictions for the Chicago Bears in 2019.
