Philadelphia Eagles: Andy Reid (1999-12)

Philadelphia Eagles fans are incredibly passionate, but they’re not always the most forgiving. Andy Reid spent 14 seasons on the sidelines for the Eagles and won 130 games, leading them to the playoffs nine times during that span.

They even made four-straight trips to the NFC Championship game and one Super Bowl appearance — which ended in a three-point loss to the New England Patriots in 2004.

Unfortunately, Reid seems to be remembered more for the times he didn’t get the job done. That’s a fair criticism, as he had some talented teams during his tenure.

In fact, the Eagles were one of the more dominant regular season teams from 2000 through 2004, as they won at least 11 games in every one of those seasons. Overall, Reid had eight seasons with double-digit wins and nine winning seasons overall in his tenure.

Reid was fired following a 4-12 campaign in 2012, which was just his second non-winning season, and first since his rookie year as head coach. He also finished 8-8 twice with Philadelphia. Eagles fans quickly saw how good they had it with Reid, as his successor Chip Kelly was a divisive force that destroyed the team in his second season.

Thankfully for them, Doug Pederson came in and led them to their first-ever Super Bowl championship. With Pederson’s tenure coming to an end in 2020, fans still have nothing but fond memories of Reid.
