Baltimore Ravens: John Harbaugh (2008-Present)

A second current coach makes this list, as current Baltimore Ravens head man John Harbaugh is the best they’ve had to this point. This franchise originated as the Cleveland Browns, but when they moved to Baltimore in 1996, they left all their history behind. That means Harbaugh doesn’t have a lot of competition, as he’s just the third coach since they have become an NFL franchise.

The first was Ted Marchibroda, who was just 16-31-1 in three seasons. He was succeeded by Brian Billick, who had a lot of success — including leading them to their first-ever Super Bowl in just his second season. Owning a record of 80-64 is impressive, as is his 5-3 playoff mark, but Harbaugh edges him out.

Harbaugh is the only Ravens coach to win more than 100 games, as he is now 104-72. In the postseason, he’s a solid 10-6 and has a Super Bowl ring, as he defeated his younger brother Jim Harbaugh and the San Francisco 49ers after the 2012 NFL season.

Another area where Harbaugh has surpassed Billick is in winning seasons. During his 11-year tenure, Harbaugh has just one losing season which came in 2015 when the Ravens went 5-11.

He twice went 8-8,  but other than that, it’s been all wins with then accomplishing double-digit wins six times. Billick, however, had three losing seasons in his nine-year career as the head coach of the Ravens franchise.

Baltimore has been fortunate that two of their three coaches in their history have had plenty of success. As of now though, Harbaugh is the best the Ravens have to offer.
