Players Who Could Rise the Fastest

While my initial reaction was to include rookies here, every rookie has a high chance of rising fast. They haven’t played yet, so the ratings aren’t going to be 100 percent accurate right away, giving the players a good chance of impressing once they take the field.

That being said, if Haskins starts, he’ll see a boost quickly. Sweat and Moreland could get fast bumps as well, as could Harmon. Martin and Pierschbacher could make moves as well as they fight for starting roles.

Outside of the rookies, a few players caught my eye. The first is Ereck Flowers, rocking a low 65 rating. He’s been tough to watch so far in his career but the Redskins are moving him to guard. If he wins the starting left guard spot, it could actually prove to be the perfect position for him. His skill-set fits much better there and could cause a pretty sizable boost to his rating.

Trey Quinn was given a 70 rating, which is really solid for a guy taken with the last pick in the NFL Draft just a year ago — especially considering he barely played due to injury as a rookie. He’s expected to be the Redskins starting slot receiver though and could rack up catches fast. If that happens, his rating will rocket up.

It’s unclear how much playing time Derrius Guice will get in his second year. He missed his entire rookie season with an injury and is still having some issues in that department. However, if he gets his carries, I have little doubt Guice won’t impress. That 78 rating shouldn’t be idle for long.

Da’Ron Payne was given an 83 rating, which is definitely a solid mark. There’s nothing to complain about there. That being said, he was amazing in his rookie year and only looks to get better. Payne could assert himself as one of the best defensive tackles in football in 2019. With that would definitely come a rating boost.
