4. J’Mon Moore, Receiver

The Packers are stacked with young talent at the receiver position which means second-year wideout J’Mon Moore will need to show out in a big way to prove his worth in 2019. Moore, who was drafted in the fourth round in the 2018 draft, saw little time from scrimmage as a rookie. He logged only 74 snaps on offense, finishing with just two catches for 15 yards on the season.

With Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as the ‘locks’ to make the 2019 roster at receiver, Moore will be fighting with the likes of Jake Kumerow, Equanimeous St. Brown, Trevor Davis and others for rights in the pecking order. Funnily enough, Moore may the most talented of those players.

After playing 148 snaps on special teams in 2018, Moore will also need to prove he can contribute even more in that department this coming season. The Packers are too crowded at receiver for him to make the roster outright — barring a spectacular Year 2 jump in training camp — which means he’ll need to make his money on special teams.

Moore’s biggest problem, though, has been his tendency to drop passes at inopportune times. If he can clean up the drops, show his worth on special teams and make a marked improvement in chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, he should have no problem making the roster.
