2. Trevor Davis, Receiver

Receiver Trevor Davis has had one of the weirdest careers of any Packers player currently on the roster. Drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 draft, Davis has only appeared in 29 of 48 possible career games and only appeared in two games total last season due to a nagging hamstring injury.

But for all of his faults, Davis is easily the Packers’ most talented return man. He’s averaged 12.1 yards per punt return and 22.6 yards per kick return in his career, both bests on Green Bay’s current roster. The Packers may not want to move on from him due to that alone — unless another (likely younger) player steps up.

Although he’s a talented returner, if the Packers elect to keep Davis on the 53-man roster in 2019, he’ll need to prove his worth as a receiver, as well. Being a talented returner is valuable, but Green Bay’s depth at receiver remains too crowded to keep a player who may just be a one-trick pony. Davis will need to show marked improvement in route running and overall toughness, namely that the injury bug won’t catch him after significant playing time.

All of that said, injuries have played a huge role in Davis’ career development, which means we may not have seen the best of his abilities. The speedy receiver will have a lot to look forward to in training camp.
