Coming off an Achilles injury he suffered in early December, Denver Broncos wideout Emmanuel Sanders looks determined to get back to full strength.

Emmanuel Sanders got his first look at the new class of Denver Broncos as he participated in 7-on-7 drills with the team as they began training camp. Entering his 10th NFL season and sixth with the Broncos, this is a huge step for the star wide receiver.

Sanders is coming off an Achilles injury that he suffered during a game in early December last season. While many believe that Sanders is not at 100 percent, he believes fans should give him two to three weeks and he will be “at full speed and a full go all the way around.”

Sanders said in a post-training camp press conference, per NFL.com:

"“I’m looking forward to continuously, gradually returning to 7-on-7 to the team and hopefully 1-on-1’s.”"

With the performance from Sanders at the 7-on-7 workouts and him diving to make his first catch, I believe it when Sanders said, “I’m back, baby.” It’s hard not to take him at his word and think he’ll be ready come Aug. 1 as the Broncos begin preseason play in the Hall of Fame Game.

With this being said by Sanders, will we actually see the wide receiver at 100 percent come the preseason matchup against the Atlanta Falcons?

While I believe that Sanders is determined and ready to get back to that point as soon as possible, the Broncos coaching staff — as well as the trainers — should continue to take it slow and not overwork Sanders so that he can play a huge part for the Denver offense come the regular season.

Sanders played a huge role for the Broncos in the 2018 season where he played 12 games and was good for 71 receiving catches, 868 yards and four touchdowns.

If the Broncos coaching staff can keep Sanders healthy all season and get him to his peak health in the first place, we could see a great performance like fans saw during Sanders first year with the Broncos in 2014 where he played 16 games and combined for 101 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
