1. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

Much like Ryan at the No. 2 spot, Drew Brees may not have the greatest physical tools in the league, lacking some arm strength and mobility — particularly at his age now. However, he’s one of the most accurate quarterbacks in NFL history, with no signs of slowing down either after posting a head-turning 73.7 percent completion rate in 2018.

Brees has the touch, timing and accuracy to make almost any throw that opens up for him, which has kept him among the NFL’s best throughout his career. Despite Brees now being one of the older quarterbacks in the league, like Tom Brady, age seemingly has not slowed him down at all. Even better for him, though, New Orleans has put him in a great situation to succeed late in his career.

Luckily for Brees, the Saints have hit big on offensive draft picks in recent years, landing Alvin Kamara and Ryan Ramczyk. Kamara is arguably the best receiving running back in the game and Ramczyk has already emerged as one of the best offensive tackles in the game. The Saints also have Michael Thomas who, at 26 years old, is one of the best receivers in the game.

At the end of his career, Brees will likely go down as one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history whenever his time in the NFL is over. As for now while he’s still heading the Saints offense, though, age has not yet slowed him down and he remains the top quarterback in the NFC South until further notice.
