Here are three ways the Detroit Lions can pull off the unthinkable during the 2019 season by winning Super Bowl LIV.

Believe it or not, only 12 teams in the NFL have yet to win their first Super Bowl, and unfortunately for the Detroit Lions, they happen to be on that list. To top the frustration off, the Lions haven’t even won a single playoff game since the 1991 season, showing just how difficult it’s been to be part of the Detroit fan base.

Sooner or later, that unfortunate drought is going to come to an end for the Lions. And while it may sound like a bit of a stretch to view them as Super Bowl contenders during the 2019 season, anything is possible when it comes to the NFL.

One year after coming up just shy of a playoff berth, Detroit took a major step back last season by only winning six games, which was the last thing Matt Patricia expected to see during his first season as head coach with the team.

Rightfully so, expectations were high for Patricia entering his first year with the Lions after looking at all of his defensive accomplishments during his time spent with the New England Patriots, but at least he now has a season of experience under his belt.

Winning the Super Bowl certainly won’t be easy when looking at the competition Detroit has to face alone in the NFC, but crazier things have taken place in the NFL.

To help prepare for the upcoming season, here are three ways the Lions could shock the football world by going on to win Super Bowl LIV in Miami.
