The 2019 preseason is finally here, but we are already looking ahead with this 2020 NFL Mock Draft which is heavy on quarterbacks and edge rushers.

Football is back — kind of — and so too is NFL Mock Draft season. The annual NFL Hall of Fame Game has been played which kicks off the preseason, but it’s not as if this is the best game to watch as the teams usually aren’t sending out their best players. That was the case when the Denver Broncos beat the Atlanta Falcons, 14-10, in this year’s edition of the kickoff game.

Of course, with all the veterans sitting out of these games, we’re able to get a good look at members of the most recent draft class. While some of them will end up starting, there will be plenty of young players who sit out the majority — if not all — of their rookie seasons.

One such player for Denver is Drew Lock, who is expected to play behind Joe Flacco all season, barring injury to the veteran. Lock wasn’t great in his debut but it gave fans a quick glance at the future of the franchise.

Speaking of the future, it’s never too early to start thinking about what will be next for every team — which is what we are going to do here with another 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

With the preseason starting up, we can see areas where teams still need to find some help — and with the NCAA season nearing its start as well, we can begin to look at which players will fill those needs.

As is always the case, we use the most recent NFL Spin Zone Power Rankings to determine the order of the draft, which has the New York Jets kicking things off at No. 1.
