After about two weeks of Chicago Bears training camp, let’s take a look at what’s happened so far and what fans can take away.
We were excited for Chicago Bears football to again become front and center and now it’s here. Training camp has been in effect for about two weeks now. We see the players perform and how they perform after the preseason.
Now we want to see how certain players look during games. We get that first look this week when the preseason begins. The Bears host the Carolina Panthers and the players finally get to go up against players other than their own teammates.
There are still several weeks left of training camp and preseason before the coaches make the hard decisions of who makes the final roster. Things can change a great deal from today to the end of camp. Still, we should take a look at what’s happening.
There are several areas that the coaches and fans looked forward to seeing. How does the defense look with Chuck Pagano as the new defensive coordinator? How do the kickers look and who is leading? Does the offense look like it took a step forward yet, and how is the revamped running back unit performing?
It’s exciting to see the development of the team. Most of us have Super Bowl dreams and a lot of that depends on what happens during training camp. The right combination of players goes a long way to making those dreams come true.
For now, we take a snapshot look at how things are going so far. We have a few observations on what’s happening and we’ll continue to look at how things progress from here on out. Here are some of them.
