Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals open up the NFL preseason as they face the Los Angeles Chargers. Here’s how fans can watch the game.
The Arizona Cardinals may be the most exciting team in the NFL entering the preseason given the changes that they’ve undergone coming into 2019. Thus, all eyes should be on Arizona as they open up exhibition contests with a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, a team with Super Bowl aspirations this season.
It’s been anything but conventional this offseason for the Cardinals. They selected Kyler Murray first overall in the 2019 draft one year after taking Josh Rosen in the top 10. Furthermore, the Red Birds hired Kliff Kingsbury to be their new head coach with the hopes of taking the league by storm with the air raid offense he utilized at Texas Tech.
We should see some of Murray in this game but it may be Kingsbury’s offense that is more in focus. On top of that, seeing how young wide receivers like Andy Isabella and Hakeem Butler fare in this new-look scheme.
As for the Chargers, this is a team that, led by Philip Rivers, has an immense amount of talent to work with. The defense broke out with the addition of Derwin James last year but now rookies Jerry Tillery and Nasir Adderley hope to make that unit even more dangerous. They’ll make their in-game debuts on Thursday, which could make expectations even higher.
