The Miami Dolphins start a new era with an NFL Preseason Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Here’s how you can watch the game.
For the most part, the 2019 NFL season will be business as usual for the Atlanta Falcons. The same, however, can’t be said for the Miami Dolphins. Brian Flores is the new head coach and, perhaps more importantly, they also traded for quarterback Josh Rosen during the draft. The top-10 pick from 2018 will make his debut against Atlanta on Thursday night in Week 1 of the NFL preseason.
Rosen’s debut is where many of the eyes around the league will be. The quarterback wasn’t good in his rookie season with Arizona but the hope is that a change of scenery and better overall situation will do him good. The Dolphins certainly hope the same as they start the Flores era, which will also feature the first in-game action for guys like Christian Wilkins. They’ll also start to sort out the running back situation between Kenyan Drake and Kalen Ballage.
The Falcons have actually already played an exhibition contest, facing Denver in the Hall of Fame Game. That matchup showcased some young players like rookie John Cominsky and running back Brian Hill. Those guys will look to continue to prove themselves, though we should also get a glimpse of bigger names in this matchup.
