The Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens open up their 2019 preseason schedule clashing at M&T Bank Stadium. Here’s how fans can watch the game.
While the Baltimore Ravens were able to capture the AFC North and a subsequent playoff berth last season, the Jacksonville Jaguars experienced a decidedly worse fate. After winning their division the previous year, the Jags bottomed out and finished last in the AFC South. Now, both teams look to turn the page and head towards something better in 2019, which starts with their preseason matchup on Thursday night.
Lamar Jackson took the reins at quarterback as a rookie last year for the Ravens. As a result, Baltimore traded away Joe Flacco to Denver this offseason. John Harbaugh has talked all offseason about the creative and new offense that’ll be run in Baltimore with Jackson, though it remains to be seen how much of that we’ll see in just the first preseason game of the 2019 slate.
As for the Jaguars, they have a big change at quarterback after handsomely paying to sign Nick Foles in free agency, ending the Blake Bortles era. We may not see a great deal of Foles on Thursday but we should see plenty of rookie Josh Allen on the defense, a group that has a lot to prove as a whole after the way the declined from 2017 to 2018.

It’s slightly disappointing that we likely won’t see much of the guys like Jackson and Foles for the Ravens and Jaguars, respectively, if we see them play at all. While that may be the case, though, these are intriguing enough teams that there should still be plenty to keep an eye on throughout this preseason game.
