Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White is about to become a household name. Before the 2019 season comes to an end, he will be considered a star in the NFL.

When the Buffalo Bills selected Tre’Davious White in the first round back in 2017, not everyone agreed. I was skeptical as well.

The Bills traded out of the No. 10 pick and passed up a chance to select a quarterback. Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson were soon gone. Today, that is all irrelevant. The Bills landed a potential franchise quarterback in 2018 when they selected Josh Allen. Oh yeah, and that Tre’Davious White guy turned out just fine.

While quarterback is the most important position on the field, teams cannot afford to risk everything on one. The Bills clearly had a different plan in place and have worked it into effect thus far. They wound up with White, Allen and Tremaine Edmunds as a result of trading back in 2017.

For a young team trying to rebuild, those are exceptional foundational pieces. White is now entering his third NFL season. This could finally be the year he breaks out for good.

After showing flashes and leading a dominant defense for two years, common fans will finally know White’s name. He has everything you want in a corner. He carries himself with confidence, plays the ball, and forces turnovers. White has started all 32 games since entering the league in 2017, and the Bills led the league in passing defense last season.

Now that White has passed the infamous “sophomore slump” NFL season, he is destined for greatness. He will be a premier cornerback in the NFL come season’s end.
