2. Tyrell Williams, Wide Receiver

The Oakland receiving corps is expected to be better in large part due to the trade for Antonio Brown. As much as AB can transform their offense, he’s not the only new Raiders wideout this year. The front office also landed a former AFC West foe in Tyrell Williams.

Formerly of the Los Angeles Chargers, Williams joined the team on a four-year contract worth $44 million. He’s not a household name, but Williams went from an undrafted rookie to a 1,000-yard receiver by his second year in the league.

While the Chargers were still in San Diego, Williams pulled down 69 passes for 1,059 yards and seven touchdowns. He did this while filling in for an injured Keenan Allen, which proves he can get the job done when asked to be the primary receiver. And when he’s not the top target, he’s still rather effective.

In 2017, Williams recorded 728 yards and added another 653 last season. For his career, he averages nearly 16-yards per reception and gives Oakland a solid second option alongside Brown. Saturday night will be the first chance to see him in action with Oakland as he looks to prove he was worth the money invested in him this offseason.
