The Kansas City Chiefs begin a potential Super Bowl run by facing the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1 of the preseason. Live stream, TV info and how to watch.

On Saturday night, the Kansas City Chiefs will begin the journey of taking the next step with Patrick Mahomes at the helm. After almost making the Super Bowl, they aim to not only do so this year but to win it. That starts with welcoming the Cincinnati Bengals to Arrowhead Stadium in the first week of the 2019 NFL preseason.

The Chiefs roster survived some turmoil this offseason as Tyreek Hill will not be suspended. With him, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins, the weapons are there for Mahomes. However, the preseason game will give us a look at guys like rookie wideout Mecole Hardman while also offering glimpses of a defense now headlined by additions Tyrann Mathieu and Frank Clark.

A.J. Green getting injured has been the Bengals storyline to watch in training camp. Now, Andy Dalton and Joe Mixon (and maybe Tyler Boyd) are the known commodities on the offense, which is now under the watch of new head coach Zac Taylor. Can guys like John Ross step up for this group? And how will the defense hold up, led by Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap still? This preseason game will give us some insight into that.

There’s no question that the Bengals and Chiefs are heading in different directions in the 2019 season, the former hoping for any kind of success and the latter with their sights set on the Lombardi Trophy. Either way, those runs start on Saturday night when the two teams meet in the preseason.
