15. Seattle Seahawks (15)

In each of the past two NFL Drafts, the Seattle Seahawks made some surprising selections in the first round. Running back Rashad Penny was the selection in 2018, which felt like a bit of a reach for him. He proved to be a talented player and may have been worth the price they paid for him, but they never fully utilized him as Chris Carson continued to get the bulk of the carries.

This season, it was defensive lineman L.J. Collier. Again, he isn’t a bad player, he wasn’t expected to go in the opening round. The move for a defensive end made sense though considering the Seahawks traded away Frank Clark and Michael Bennett in the offseason. Their departures gave Collier some big shoes to fill, and we all have to wait to see how he performs while trying to replace those two edge rushers.

Collier suffered a sprained ankle which had him sidelined in the first preseason game and there’s no guarantee he will be ready to go Week 1. Their other projected starting defensive end is also hurt as Seattle has no idea when Ezekiel Ansah will be able to go as he is still recovering from a shoulder injury.

This is putting a lot of pressure on the offense to step things up this season. They have the quarterback in Russell Wilson, but the rest of the supporting cast has some questions. A lot of the pressure will end up being on Wilson, but he’s been up to the task before.
