The Green Bay Packers take on the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Aug. 15 in Preseason Week 2. Here are five players Packers fans should watch closely.

Fans of the Green Bay Packers came away happy with the result of last Thursday’s preseason opener at home against the Houston Texans. The Packers won by a final score of 28-26, with several promising individual performances. Green Bay will now travel to Baltimore in Preseason Week 2 to face the Ravens.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur proclaimed that Aaron Rodgers would play most of the first quarter on Thursday. Rodgers did not play against Houston, instead helping to coach the younger players in street clothes from the sideline.

Even with Rodgers playing about a quarter, we will undoubtedly see plenty of DeShone Kizer and Tim Boyle in the battle for the backup quarterback spot. Kizer got the start against Houston but Boyle looked to be the better overall passer, albeit in limited action. It’ll be interesting to see if Boyle gets more snaps than Kizer in Preseason Week 2.

Meanwhile, the Packers defense is coming off a stellar performance after forcing four turnovers against the Texans. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine stressed the importance of turnovers all offseason, and it appears that emphasis is coming to fruition.

Although many of the Packers’ projected regular season starters did not play against the Texans, Green Bay had plenty of reasons to be impressed from the performances of Ka’dar Hollman, Ty Summers, Chandon Sullivan and many other younger players. Both Hollman and Sullivan snatched an interception, while Summers led the team in solo tackles (9) and total tackles (10).

The question now becomes: who will step up in Green Bay’s second preseason game, and can those who have already impressed keep building on their successes? Here are five Packers players to watch in Preseason Week 2’s matchup against the Ravens.
