The Chicago Bears take to the road and take on the New York Giants in their second preseason game. Here are three players to watch in the game.

We are a step closer to the regular season. The Chicago Bears play their second preseason game by going on the road to New Jersey to take on the New York Giants. They get to see Giants legendary quarterback Eli Manning‘s eventual replacement, Daniel Jones.

Jones completed all five of his passes, one of them for a touchdown. Let’s see how he performs against the Bears’ backup defensive unit, one that might be able to outplay some of the NFL starters. Many questioned the Jones pick so early in the draft (sixth overall) but, of course, after a very good start, some New Yorkers came around and feel he could be the next Joe Montana.

Though the Bears lost their opening preseason game last week against the Carolina Panthers, they had good showings from certain players. Some of them improved their status on the team (for now) while others had a great debut.

We must keep in mind that it was just one game so, good or bad, things can change with three games still remaining. Fortunes can rise and fall week to week.

While many of the marquee players won’t play much (or at all in most cases) there are still players we should watch. We watch them so we could get an idea behind why the coaches decided to keep a player or why they decided to part ways with him.

There are three players we should watch in this game. We’ll see if they build on their success last week or they take a step back. We’ll also see if a player who dug a hole for himself can dig his way out. Here are the three players I think we should watch this week.
