Week 5: Washington Redskins (Away)

Despite only leading his team to one playoff appearance in five years, Jay Gruden is still the head coach of the Redskins.

Coming off of two-straight seasons with a losing record, the smart decision to make would have been to fire Gruden this offseason and look for someone new to lead the team. But this is also Washington we are talking out. One of the worst run franchises in the entire NFL.

For this year’s matchup against the Patriots, the Redskins’ offense is likely going to feature a starting quarterback and running back combo of Case Keenum and Adrian Peterson. So yeah, New England isn’t losing this game.

Prediction: Win (4-1)

Week 6: New York Giants (Home)

In their lone Thursday night matchup of the season, the Patriots get to take on a Giants team that is far from the squad that defeated New England in two separate Super Bowls.

Don’t think that those Super Bowl losses won’t be on the mind of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick heading into this game though. It shouldn’t take long for the Patriots to erase any hope New York had of pulling off an upset in this matchup.

Prediction: Win (5-1)
