Week 9: Baltimore Ravens (Away)

Like the Browns in Week 8, the Patriots will be taking on a Ravens team that will be coming off of their bye week. And just like Cleveland, Baltimore will have an extra week to prepare for their matchup with New England.

In their last five games that have taken place right after their bye week, the Ravens have been able to come out with a win four times, including last year’s Week 11 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Patriots have been successful in the majority of their games against Baltimore, but this year’s matchup could end up being too difficult to get a win.

Prediction: Loss (6-3)

This ushers in the Patriots’ bye in Week 10.

Week 11: Philadelphia Eagles (Away)

This time, it’s New England that gets an extra week to prepare for their opponent when they take on the Eagles.

During the last five years, the Patriots only lost once in games that occur directly after their bye week. And with two straight losses before this matchup with Philadelphia, you can bet that New England is going to make sure they avoid their first three-game losing streak since 2002.

Do you think Tom Brady is going to let the Patriots lose three times in a row during what could potentially be his last season in the NFL? Yeah, probably not.

Prediction: Win (7-3)
