New England Patriots: Game-by-game predictions for the 2019 season
By Adam Patrick
Week 12: Dallas Cowboys (Home)
Since the Cowboys and Patriots play in two separate conferences, Tom Brady has only faced Dallas four times during his long NFL career. In all four of these matchups, Brady has led New England to a win over the Cowboys.
Dallas is expected to have a talented team this year (maybe not if Ezekiel Elliott doesn’t end his holdout), so this game against the Patriots should be pretty competitive. But the Cowboys getting their first win in New England since 1987 doesn’t seem like it will be happening this season.
Prediction: Win (8-3)
Week 13: Houston Texans (Away)
In nine regular-season matchups with the Patriots, the Texans have only been able to come out with a victory once. However, Houston came very close in 2017 when they were leading New England with under a minute remaining in the game.
To help their chances, the Texans will have a few extra days to prepare for the contest since they will be coming off a Thursday night matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12.
Will Houston’s extra time end up actually making a difference when they take on the Patriots? If the majority of their roster is intact, then the Texans certainly have a good shot at walking off the field with a win over New England.
Prediction: Loss (8-4)
