The Cleveland Browns took on the Colts in Week 2 of the NFL preseason and, with Baker Mayfield sitting, some players shined while others faltered.

At Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, the Cleveland Browns put their second notch in the 2019 preseason belt as they took on the Indianapolis Colts. Freddie Kitchens’ team didn’t have Baker Mayfield, Myles Garrett, Odell Beckham Jr. or Nick Chubb for the proceedings as they got some rest but the Browns still got some good looks at a number of guys.

Those players on the field for the Browns were, for the most part, impressive. The team came together and put forth a stout first-half effort to go up 14-7 heading into halftime and then held on in the second half to pick up the 21-18 victory, staving off a late fourth-quarter rally — for whatever that’s worth in the preseason.

Fans in Cleveland worried about the kicking game certainly weren’t satisfied on Saturday as Greg Joseph and Austin Seibert both missed long attempts that could have given either player some favor. Regardless, it’s still just the preseason and, outside of extra points, fans shouldn’t be horribly worried about the Browns kickers to this point.

Meanwhile, Rashard Higgins saw the field again and worked well out of the slot. He won’t be mentioned beyond this but all the hype about a potential big-time year for Hollywood continues to look real given what he’s showing in the preseason.

As is the case with any preseason game, though, there was some good and some bad for the Cleveland Browns on Saturday’s trip to play the Colts. With that, let’s take a look at both sides by naming some winners and losers from the Week 2 preseason game.
