Boise State. Curtis Weaver. 17. player. 36. . EDGE

Boise State edge Curtis Weaver is one of the best players not enough people are talking about this summer. He possesses incredibly flexible hips, easily turning and running around the arc. He has a stockier build that 4-3 teams will love as he transitions to the next level.

The Seattle Seahawks edge group is a mess. They decided to trade pro bowl defensive end Frank Clark this offseason. Their answer to help ease the blow was the addition of first-round TCU defensive end L.J. Collier and long-time, injury-prone Detroit Lions pass rusher Ezekiel Ansah. I’m not very confident these two will add enough for the Seahawks long term success. Weaver is a welcome addition to what is traditionally an excellent defensive unit.

18. player. 26. . EDGE. Notre Dame. Julian Okwara

The Ravens said goodbye to all-time great Terrell Suggs this offseason, along with Za’Darius Smith. This leaves the Ravens with a unit led by Matt Judon and Pernell McPhee and a bunch of young players for depth.

Adding a high upside rusher like Notre Dame’s Julian Okwara is a no brainer. Okwara is coming off a breakout junior season where he ascended to one of the better pass rushers across the college football landscape. His combination of silky movement and length make him a tough task to block one on one.

The brother of Detroit Lions defensive end Romeo Okwara, Julian is just beginning to tap into his long-term potential. If he is able to take the next step, don’t be surprised if he has a Josh Allen-esque rise this season.
