With another week of preseason in the books, here’s the latest version of the 2019 NFL Power Rankings.

Now that another weekend of preseason football is officially in the books, it only seems fair to conduct another version of the NFL Power Rankings for the 2019 season since there is plenty to talk about once again.

Unfortunately, this time of year tends to see numerous injuries, as the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers became two of the latest teams to suffer devastating injuries.

Based off the last two seasons, it was easy to understand the decision by the Eagles to rest Carson Wentz in each of the first two preseason games, but it’s actually been the backup quarterbacks that have been dropping like flies.

One week after losing Nate Sudfeld to a broken wrist on his non-throwing hand, the recent injury to Cody Kessler resulted in Philadelphia convincing Josh McCown to come out of retirement.

This may not seem like the biggest deal in the world, but since Nick Foles is no longer around, the Eagles realize the importance of having a backup quarterback they can rely on just in case something were to happen to Wentz.

As for the Chargers, the defense will be missing a huge void at safety now that Derwin James is having foot surgery, and is expected to be missing in action until at least November.

With Los Angeles already having high expectations after last year’s success, replacing James isn’t going to be easy, but hopefully someone can step up in his absence so the unit doesn’t take a step back.

In the midst of all these subtractions, though, the New England Patriots got great news. Wide receiver Josh Gordon was reinstated by the NFL this weekend. His return will bolster a pass-catching group that needed reinforcements to stabilize them.

But before getting into more details over these topics, let’s take a look and see where some of the other teams currently rank in the latest NFL Power Rankings for 2019.
