24. San Francisco 49ers (28) – Play on Monday vs. Broncos

Around this time last year, the San Francisco 49ers were considered a potential sleeper in the NFC to make a run at the Super Bowl after looking at how impressive Jimmy Garoppolo was to close out the 2017 season.

Instead, the 49ers ended up finishing near the bottom of the league, but there’s no question the circumstances would have been much different if Garoppolo didn’t suffer a torn ACL.

Despite some concerns over the last month or so with how he’s looked in practices, Garoppolo should be able to flourish on offense for San Francisco during the 2019 season when looking at some of the weapons he has to work with.

Competing in the NFC West with other contenders such as the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks will certainly make things more interesting in the division, but if Garoppolo manages to stay healthy, the 49ers are the last team anyone should sleep on.

To top off Week 2 of the preseason, San Francisco will be traveling to Colorado to take on the Denver Broncos.

Most likely, a majority of the starters will be resting for the 49ers, but at least this will give another idea over where this team stands heading into the final two weeks of preseason.
