NFL Power Rankings 2019: Patriots get Josh Gordon, Chargers lose Derwin James

22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (22)
Does Tanner Hudson have what it takes to be a surprise addition to the 53-man roster for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when the time comes?
With the Buccaneers being loaded with talent at the tight end position, Hudson may appear to be at a disadvantage heading into Week 3 of the preseason, but also it’s difficult to ignore what he accomplished in the win over the Miami Dolphins.
Believe it or not, Hudson led all Tampa Bay receivers against the Dolphins after hauling in six catches for 93 yards to go along with a trip into the end zone.
While the argument can be made that Hudson’s numbers would have been much different if he weren’t going against Miami’s backups, this shouldn’t take away from just how impressive of a performance this was for the tight end.
Through the first two preseason games, Hudson has managed to catch 13 passes for 177 yards, and should continue to see plenty of targets over the final two weeks of action.
Expectations are higher than previous years for Tampa Bay thanks to Bruce Arians being part of the picture, and if the head coach believes Hudson could be an underrated weapon to use in 2019, this could turn out great for both parties.
