NFL Power Rankings 2019: Patriots get Josh Gordon, Chargers lose Derwin James

16. Seattle Seahawks (15)
One year after failing to make the playoffs for the first time in the Russell Wilson era, the Seattle Seahawks bounced back strong by earning one of the Wild Card spots last season.
Losing to the Dallas Cowboys right away was frustrating for obvious reasons, but at least if all goes well in 2019, the Seahawks should continue to be a top contender in the NFC.
On Sunday, Seattle participated in their second game of the preseason in a battle against the Minnesota Vikings, which they would end up losing 25-19.
Despite the 19 points by the Seahawks, the offense failed to find the end zone once after the only touchdown came from an 88-yard interception return by DeShawn Shead.
Does this mean that Seattle should be concerned heading into the regular season? Of course not, since Russell Wilson and most of the starters didn’t even see that much action, meaning the Seahawks’ offense most likely would have put up more points.
At least when September arrives, and things are in full swing, Wilson should have the unit playing at a high level like he usually does. And if that is the case, don’t be surprised if Wilson finds himself in the MVP conversation.
