1. Jason Myers, K

Jason Myers was money for the Seahawks on Sunday night. He connected on all four of his field goal attempts, including one from 52 yards away, and nailed his only extra point attempt. Myers signed a four-year, $15.45 million contract with Seattle this offseason. That’s a relatively inexpensive deal for the fifth-year kicker considering he made the Pro Bowl with the New York Jets last season.

While Myers has yet to prove that he can perform at a Pro Bowl level consistently, his 2018 season has Seattle hopeful that they’ve found their kicker for the long-term. With the Jets last year, Myers converted 33 of his 36 field goal attempts, including 6-of-7 from over 50 yards. He made 30 of his 33 extra point attempts as well.

Signing Myers was a big move for the Seahawks, especially after an injury to aging kicker Sebastian Janikowski hurt the team in the Wild Card Round last year. Janikowski was unable to kick field goals which led to experimenting with Michael Dickson kicking. It didn’t go great and Seattle didn’t feel confident in attempting field goals down the stretch.

While Myers converted 91.7 percent of his field goal attempts in 2018, he made below 80 percent in both 2016 and 2017. Hopefully, his performance Sunday night shows that he’ll maintain his Pro Bowl form this season.

Cornerback, DeShawn Shead at least deserves an honorable mention. While the Seahawks secondary did give up 272 passing yards against Minnesota, Shead scored Seattle’s only touchdown in the game on an 88-yard pick-six.
