After an absolute debacle against the Oakland Raiders in Week 2 preseason action, the Arizona Cardinals will look to rebound on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Arizona Cardinals take their preseason on the road against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. After an absolute disaster in Week 2 against the Oakland Raiders, much-maligned head coach Kliff Kingsbury will try and right the ship, stabilize rookie Kyler Murray and have an answer after a week of appearing to have none.

It’s a tall order. With the critics chomping at the bit, another bad performance won’t spell doom in Arizona but will ratchet up an already negative narrative heading into the season.

Week 3 of the exhibition season is not like it used to be. The once critical ”dress rehearsal” game is now just another Week 1, 2 or 4. Each as relatively nondescript as the others. If Kingsbury is smart, he’ll take a page from an old playbook and get Murray in a better spot than he was a week ago. That means play him, work out the bugs, and create a positive scenario heading into the exhibition finale against Denver.

The Cardinals will spend Week 3 taking a long hard look at areas of concern. Specifically, players who will and need to play a pivotal role in turning around a franchise who finished a dismal 3-13. Even though it’s one exhibition game, a lot is on the line in Minnesota.
