Bills vs. Lions, NFL Preseason Week 3: How to watch
The Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions are both hopeful to show something big when they meet in Preseason Week 3. Here’s everything you need on how to watch.
Things have changed quite a bit over the past couple of years for the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. In Buffalo, there’s a new franchise quarterback and an offense being built around him, supplemented by a strong defense. With Detroit, Matt Patricia is the second-year head coach trying to bring the Patriot Way to the Motor City. But first, they meet in Preseason Week 3.
Josh Allen is now the man at the head of the Bills offense and the front office brought in the likes of Cole Beasley and John Brown to help him out. The quarterback will be in focus for Buffalo, but so too will rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver. He’s been dominant thus far in the preseason and looks to continue that against Detroit.
As for the Lions, it’s still Matthew Stafford’s show but he finally has a running game with Kerryon Johnson and a new tight end in rookie T.J. Hockenson. Patricia is now looking to bring the defense around and new addition Trey Flowers should help with that. This Detroit team is one with sleeper potential.

Preseason games don’t matter in terms of results. For the Lions and the Bills, though, the dress rehearsal game in Week 3 of the preseason is about getting teams that have been remade more prepared for the regular season, more so than with other teams around the league. It should be fun to watch that transpire.
