The Oakland Raiders played in a bizarre game in Canada against the Packers, earning a win. Checking the stock of players after Preseason Week 3.

The Oakland Raiders survived a wild series of events in Winnipeg on Thursday night in Week 3 of the preseason to earn a 22-21 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Clearly the wildest thing of the night was playing on a shortened 80-yard field, which gave the game a bizarre feeling right from the get-go.

Due to poor field conditions in the end zone, the Raiders and Packers agreed to shorten the field and use the 10-yard lines as the markers for the end zone. That obviously gave the game a different aesthetic than anyone was expecting — or, frankly, wanted to see. Regardless, Jon Gruden’s team persevered and pulled out the win.

Given the state of the field in Canada, though, the Raiders (along with the Packers) elected to rest their starters in this game. There was no Derek Carr, Antonio Brown, Josh Jacobs, Clelin Ferrell or many of the other players that promise to play a key role for this team when the regular season rolls around. So much for this being the dress rehearsal game.

Despite that disappointment, though, the fans in Canada did see players from Oakland that are trying to secure spots on the 53-man roster duke it out and try to state their case. While there is still one preseason game remaining, this game may have been the one that could cement the status of several players.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at whose stock is rising and whose is falling after the Oakland Raiders wonky preseason contest against the Packers.
