The Dallas Cowboys beat the Houston Texans 34-0 in Week 3 of the 2019 NFL Preseason. Here were their winners and losers from their victory

The Dallas Cowboys had themselves quite the game as they were able to defeat the Houston Texans by a score of 34-0. They were the superior team in every facet of the game and jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter.

While it’s easy to shrug this off as a simple preseason game, the truth is the Cowboys really should be proud of how well they played in their dress rehearsal game.

In fact, it was so good that there was a hard time finding many losers in this week’s edition of ‘Winners and Losers’. There was also an overabundance of winners, which we dive right into here.

Winner: Devin Smith, Wide Receiver

It’s crazy how deep the Dallas receiving corps looks suddenly. With Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and Randall Cobb all set in their positions, the team will have some tough decisions to make. Tavon Austin likely makes it due to his play on special teams but from there, it could be just about anyone who makes it as the fifth.

Throwing his name into the hat this preseason has been Devin Smith. The former Ohio State Buckeye has taken advantage of every opportunity given to him and had 79 yards on six receptions this weekend. He’s come a long way since his two ACL tears and could be re-starting his NFL career.

If there were anything that didn’t go Smith’s way in this game, it would have to be that Cedric Wilson also continued to impress. These guys could make it to where Dallas goes six-deep at the wideout position this year.
