With Andrew Luck calling it a career, here are seven quarterbacks the Indianapolis Colts should consider trading for before the start of the 2019 season.

In what may turn out to be the most shocking news of preseason, Andrew Luck announced on Saturday night that he will be retiring from the NFL, meaning the Indianapolis Colts are expected to roll with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback for the 2019 season.

After pulling off the unthinkable last year by bouncing back in one of the strongest ways possible after previously missing the entire 2017 season, Luck was expected to be in for another big year in 2019 while helping the Colts continue to be a top contender in the AFC.

This may very well turn out to be the case for Indianapolis in regards to being a top contender, but also it’s going to be interesting to see how this team adjusts to playing without the former No. 1 pick.

Nothing against Brissett since the backup quarterback stepped up in a big way during the 2017 season when the Colts acquired him from the New England Patriots, but it’s difficult to imagine Indianapolis continuing to be a top contender with Luck out of the picture.

At this stage in the preseason, the Colts are in a difficult position since the official start of the regular season is right around the corner, but it’s certainly possible to still pull off a trade before Week 1 arrives.
