31. Oakland Raiders (29)

The summer of Nathan Peterman continues. The Oakland Raiders gave him a new lease on life and the former Buffalo Bills quarterback has performed admirably for Oakland so far. This past game, he once again stepped up and completed 23-of-37 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns — with no interceptions.

As impressive as that performance was, the overall aesthetics of their game this past week was odd, to say the least. Oakland and Green Bay played in Winnipeg as the league continues to try and play in cities (and countries) that currently don’t have NFL teams. That’s all fine, but this time they ended up playing on an 80-yard field since the stadium was set up for the CFL.

In that league, the goalposts are at the front of the end zone, so to make up for that they ended up just moving the goal line forward 10-yards on either side. At least that oddity made it to where we could talk about something other than Antonio Brown’s helmet. That strange grievance continues to drag on as AB is the only player in the league who thinks he shouldn’t have to follow the NFL’s safety rules.

Their ability to be an effective offensive could lie squarely on the outcome of this issue. But hey, at least they can feel comfortable with Peterman as a backup to Derek Carr.
