Buffalo Bills: Ed Oliver

Two years ago, the Buffalo Bills turned out to be one of the biggest surprise contenders in the AFC, and while it was difficult to watch them take somewhat of a step back last year, the good news is the future seems bright for Sean McDermott’s squad.

Between the defense continuing to make a case for being a top unit in the league along with Josh Allen having a year of playing experience under his belt, the Bills could be in for a big season in 2019.

As for which rookies will be worth keeping an eye on over the next few months, well Buffalo has high expectations for Ed Oliver after using a first-round pick on the former Houston star back in April.

A team like the Bills certainly could have gone in a few different directions when it came to using their first pick, but with the addition of Oliver, this seems like the best option for a defense that was already in pretty solid shape.

Even though Oliver has yet to record a sack in the preseason, the fact that he’s started all three games for Buffalo so far shows they want to provide him with as much experience as possible before the real action.

Once September arrives, Oliver seems like the kind of rookie who will hit the ground running.
