Oregon vs. Auburn: 7 Best 2020 NFL Draft prospects to watch
3. Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn
Prince Tega Wanogho is a raw prospect with elite athletic traits which makes him an intriguing left tackle. The Nigerian born prospect came to America with NBA aspirations but found his niche in football.
Part of his weakness is his inexperience, with his football career beginning in high school. The 6-7, 300-plus pound tackle has great length, movement skills and an excellent build. While he can work on getting stronger, he does a great job holding up at the point. He understands how to use his length to keep himself clean.
Defensive ends looking to match is athleticism simply can’t. In the run game, he’s a puller and does a great job in space. He uses his athleticism to get to the second level. Right now, Wanogho is ideally suited for a zone scheme to maximize his athletic ability and minimize his weaknesses.
Unlike the 2019 draft class, there are a few tackles with first-round ability in the 2020 group. Right now, he’s a second- or third-round prospect. Nevertheless, as the season progresses, he could become a lock for the first round in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The NFL is thirsty for franchise tackles. So, an athletic tackle that jumps off the screen and is built like a lean athlete will only see his stock rise throughout the season.
