We can debate the rankings of the top 30 NFL triplets in history all day (if that’s your kind of thing), but there’s one group that can never be left out. One group that practically embodies the idea that is an NFL triplet.

What group, you ask? Well, *the* triplets.

Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin. Together, these future Pro Football Hall of Famers forged a dynasty in the 1990s with the Dallas Cowboys, winning three Super Bowl titles en route to an eternity of glory.

Aikman’s trademark reliability, combined with Irvin’s prowess at the point, with Emmitt Smith’s multi-dimensional running style, helped the Cowboys build on their illustrious history.

Smith is perhaps the most exalted of the bunch, as he’s second in yards from scrimmage all time, but without his trusty signal-caller and his dynamic pass catcher, the Cowboys wouldn’t have won as judiciously and as consistently as they did.
