The debate about whether or not Josh Allen can be a succesful quarterback in the NFL will continue until he either proves the Buffalo Bills correct in drafting him or until he ends up failing and finds himself dropped by the franchise that took him seventh overall in 2018.

Good news for the Wyoming product is that the Bills are trying to add talent around him so he can be succesful. They went younger at running back with Devin Singletary and brought in a couple of decent receiving options in John Brown and Cole Beasley.

Here, they continue to get players who can help Allen succeed as they take Missouri’s Albert Okwuegbunam. After contemplating coming out as an underclassman last season, Okwuegbunam decided it would be better for him to return for his senior season.

He likely felt he needed to prove he could stay healthy, considering he managed to play just nine games in each of his first two seasons. Even with the missed time, he was a borderline first-round pick. Assuming he stays healthy and continues to play well, there’s no reason to think anyone other than Okwuegbunam will be the first tight end off the board during the next draft.
