Bruce Arians is a quarterback guru, or at least that’s what they say. He has had some success in the past with players such as Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck, and Carson Palmer all having some of their best seasons under Arians. Now, his reputation for working with signal-callers is being put to the ultimate test with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The veteran head coach is working closely with former first overall pick Jameis Winston as he tries to turn him into a winner. That won’t be an easy task as Winston has struggled mightily to earn victories. Outside of his lone 9-7 campaign in 2016, Winston has fielded nothing but losing seasons including a 3-6 mark last season where he twice lost his job to Ryan Fitzpatrick.

For Winston, it’s not about talent. He clearly has that. The problem is, he’s not a leader. He makes bad decisions on and off the field and has proven time and again he can’t be trusted. Until he finally shows that he can be, the Bucs will need to seriously consider a new signal-caller.

That’s where Jake Fromm comes in. The UGA starter has an impressive 55-13 touchdown-to-interception ratio while completing just under 65 percent of his passes. His teammates respect him and respond to him on the field. And he also won’t be coming into the league looking like a suspension waiting to happen.
