This past draft was a really good one for the Washington Redskins. Not only did they land their quarterback of the future in Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins with the 15th overall pick, but they also ended up getting edge rusher Montez Sweat from Mississippi State at No. 26.

Later in the same draft, they also picked up a deep threat receiver, who was teammates with Haskins, in Terry McLaurin. The 6-foot, 215-pound Buckeye product will aim to replace Josh Doctson, who was let go as Washington trimmed their roster to 53 players.

All those moves were good and deserve the praise they have gotten. However, the team still has a lot of holes to fill, especially in the secondary. They currently have safety Landon Collins who is a stud but their cornerbacks aren’t what they used to be.

Josh Norman will be 32 years old this season so they could be looking to get some fresh legs there. With that being the goal, they take Florida’s C.J. Henderson. The junior cornerback had 60 tackles and six interceptions in his first two seasons and even proved to be a weapon attacking the quarterback.

He recorded three sacks for the Gators, proving he can make things happen off the blitz. He could be the perfect complement to Norman as the veteran enters the twilight of his career, and Henderson could also learn a lot from the savvy veteran as he gets his NFL career rolling.
