2020 NFL Mock Draft: Colts luck into new quarterback, Dolphins start future
By Randy Gurzi
Two teams that never seem to want to protect their quarterbacks are the Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks. Houston finally did make a move as they traded for Larey Tunsil, but they sure gave up a lot.
Seattle would be smart to learn from that and start bringing in some first-round talent to prepare for when Duane Brown ends up retiring. With that in mind, they take Walker Little out of Stanford, a talented player who has just one season of starting experience entering this year.
Some believe he can become the top tackle prospect, but for now his tape is behind that of Andrew Thomas of Georgia. However, Bryan Perez of With the First Pick believes that’s a product of Little having less experience as a starter.
"“There’s no denying Little’s raw natural talent, and his questionable tape isn’t surprising considering 2018 was his first full year as a starter. He’s a player who will get better with every rep he takes in 2019 and he’ll only continue to get stronger, too. Experience matters almost as much for offensive tackles as it does for quarterbacks.” — Perez, With the First Pick"
For Seattle, this would be a wise investment. They’ve given Russell Wilson a whole lot of money to play quarterback for them and need to make sure he stays healthy and has the time he needs to make the plays we all know he can.
